Spoonies, this is for you! I love to learning new "Spoonie Life Hacks" which can make our lives a little easier.
Here are a few of mine that I'd love to share
1. Write everything down.
I struggle with memory loss and brain fog, information goes in one ear and out the other. I'm also often so tired that I can't process any information. So I write EVERYTHING down. I have a whiteboard by my bed to quickly jot down anything I might need to know, such as appointment times for work, what I plan to have for dinner, the names of people i've talked to that day, and what I plan to do for the day! If you saw my house you'd think I'm a crazy person taking notes on everything! I also love my Google Home smart device, which answers all of my silly questions without judgement, such as the date, day of the week, synonyms for words that i've forgotten and my endless amount of 'how to' questions. She doesn't make me feel embarrassed for being forgetful and is what I call "my second brain". I love you Google Home!
2. Automate your life.
For me, just getting out of bed is a struggle, let-alone accomplishing anything else that day. Being a fur mumma, and trying to live somewhat independently means that I have responsibilities. I like to make my life as easy as possible by what I call "outsourcing" my daily tasks. We live in the day and age where technology is amazing, and I am so thankful that it helps me out day to day. To help with my daily vacuuming and mopping of the house, I have my little robots help me out. All I do is press a button and off they go! A clean house with no effort on my part. To help out with the animals, I have an automatic feeding system that dispenses a specific amount of food twice a day. This means that they will still be fed if I'm sleeping, or if I simply forget. I also have one of the most amazing inventions ever. A litter robot. This masterpiece cycles and cleans my kitty litter for me every time my cats use it. This saves me from bending over and shovelling poop, and leaves the house smelling fresh when I'm too tired to clean it. I also have pet fountains around the house so that I don't have to remember to fill up the water for my fur babies. These simple little devices are a life saver, and save me so much time and energy.
